On International Women’s Day, we were deeply honored to serve as the silver sponsor for Halton Women’s Place’s annual luncheon. This event was a powerful gathering, bringing together a sold-out crowd to hear Colette Martin, a survivor of domestic violence, share her compelling story of abuse, resilience, and survival. Colette’s courage is beyond inspiring, as are the many stories of strength and perseverance we heard throughout the luncheon.
Events like these are crucial for continuing the dialogue and shedding light on domestic violence. They remind us of the importance of community support for individuals facing such challenges and the organizations working tirelessly to create safe spaces for women. We are in awe of and inspired by the incredible people who dedicate themselves to this cause every day. It’s a privilege to contribute to this effort, even in a small way.
As Realtors running our own business, we are grateful for the independence and opportunity to be a women-run and owned company. We never take for granted that this may not have been possible even 50 years ago. We owe so much to those who have paved the way, creating a world where we can find safety and possibility in our own journeys.
